About the Author:
Chuck Bender studied woodworking under German Master, Wener Duerr at his local vocational technical school. He opened his own period furniture business in 1991 and is recognized as one of America's top traditional craftsmen with his work placed in private collections and museums. In 2007, Chuck opened The Acanthus Workshop, a school outside Philadelphia. Chuck Bender is now senior editor for Popular Woodworking Magazine.
